Pumpkin Patch Brownies

Halloween is in 9 days! Only 9 days!

Are you hosting a party? Bobbing for apples, perhaps? Needing a treat to take to a friend’s party?

How about Pumpkin Patch Brownies? Sweet little chocolate squares, iced with wonderful green vines and topped with Mellocreme pumpkins! Yum!

(Pumpkin Patch) Brownies

Ingredients…

1/2 C Buttersoftened

3/4 C White Sugar

1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

2 Eggs

1/2 C Flour

1/4 Tsp Baking Powder

1/2 C Cocoa

1/4 Tsp Salt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter and 1/4 Cup of white sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, continue to beat.

Stir in flour, remaining sugar (1/2 C), baking powder, salt, and cocoa.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, continuously beating.

Spread the batter evenly in a square pan; the mixture will be thick.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, until an inserted toothpick or fork removes clean.

To Decorate for Halloween:

Use any vanilla icing of your choice, and add green food coloring until you reach your desired green( I had to add about 10 drops).

Using a basic round decorating tip (I used Wilton #9) draw stems all around the brownie. Put a dab of icing on the bottom of a mellocreme pumpkin, and place it on top of the brownie. Using a leaf decorating tip, pipe leaves off of the stems, or the bottom of the pumpkin.

Enjoys these treats before, during, or after Halloween. Brownies are always delicious, not just as Halloween treats.
