Peppermint Brownies

Let’s talk about something delicious. Something that you will rant and rave about to your friends. Something you could leave out on the cookie tray for Santa that HE WILL ACTUALLY EAT.

Let’s talk about Peppermint Brownies.

Use this recipe for the Brownies as your base. It is delicious. But don’t include the pumpkins; we’ve moved on from that holiday.

These treats are so simple, yet taste divine. Simply add 1/2 Tsp of Mint extract to your batter instead of the Vanilla extract that the recipe calls for.

In addition, to add an extra minty kick, add crushed peppermints. You’re welcome to use candy canes or starlight mints.

You’ll want about a cup of crushed mints. Stir half into the finished batter. Then, once you’re batter has been dished into your baking pan, sprinkle the top with the remaining crushed pieces.

The topping will melt into the batter while baking, making the brownies minty fresh and good looking!

These treats are so rich and dense, you’ll definitely want to put a glass of milk out for Santa. (DUH!)

This recipe was created for and will be served at the Community Wide Cookie Swap I will be hosting November 29th.
