Raspberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Valentine’s Day is sneaking up on us pretty quickly. Do you have something delicious planned for your sweetie?

Whether or not you believe in the traditions of giving cards, roses, boxes of chocolate is a whole different story. I know, a lot of people love it, but many don’t. Myself, for instance, does not understand the appeal. I generally like to spread sweetness every day of the year.

So, there you have it. These cookies are not MEANT for Valentine’s day. They are simply meant to be delicious and pleasing. Whether colored red and white or not, delicious and pleasing are generally the things I go for when offering up a new recipe.

This recipe is incredibly simple and delicious. Starting with a basic chocolate chip cookie dough recipe, I added pure raspberry extract, red food coloring, and white chocolate chips.

Raspberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/2 C Butter

1/2 C White Sugar

1/2 C Brown Sugar

1 Egg

2 Tsp Raspberry Extract

1 C and 2 Tbsp Flour

1/2 Tsp Baking Soda

1/2 Tsp Salt

1/2 C White Chocolate Chips

Red food coloring

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cream the butter and sugar. Add egg and extract and beat well. Add flour, salt, and baking soda and beat until a soft dough forms. Stir in white chocolate chips. Stir in red food coloring, if desired.

Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden.
